CA Code Cite Check
Paste your California code notes and see which citations or requirements have changed.
What it does
Reads your general or code notes and checks each code-based note against the current California Building Standards Code (CBC, CRC, CFC, CEC, CPC, CALGreen, Energy Code), using code text it finds online. It flags notes whose requirement changed or whose section was renumbered, and suggests corrected wording.
What you provide
The notes as pasted text, up to about 8,000 words, plus the jurisdiction. Optionally include the edition the notes were written for (for example, "2019 CBC"). It doesn't read PDFs or scans.
What you get back
A summary count (Changed / Renumbered / No change / Not checked) and a results table. For each flagged note, you get the note, the current code wording quoted with its source link, and a suggested corrected note.
Rules it follows
- Not legal advice. Every result is for a licensed professional to review against the adopted code and local amendments.
- If it can't retrieve the current wording, it marks the note NOT CHECKED rather than quoting from memory.
- Office practice notes and project data are left alone.
