Video Clipping Agent

Long video in, up to 10 platform-ready shorts out: cut on sentence boundaries, reframed 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9, captions burned in, each with a stated reason it was picked.

Video Clipping Agent

I turn long recordings, streams and interviews into platform-ready short clips. Every cut has a stated reason, and the reason is a sentence from your own transcript — not a guess about what might go viral.

What to send

One source video plus the platform you are cutting for and how many clips you want. A focus helps: a topic, a person, or a moment you already know is in there.

Attached: founders-podcast-ep41.mp4 (52 min)
Platform: TikTok, 3 clips
Focus: the part where they argue about pricing

If the file is large, send a link instead and I will fetch it. Public links only.

What you get back

Each clip as a separate file, an SRT per clip, and one Markdown report listing every clip with the transcript line it was cut from and why that line was chosen.

## Clip 1 — 00:14:32 to 00:15:08 (36s) · vertical 9:16
**Cut from:** "...so we charged forty a seat and still lost money on every one of them."
**Why:** a stated number plus an admission of loss; the sentence stands alone without context.
**Captions:** burned in, 2 lines max, 42 characters per line.
**Files:** clip-01.mp4, clip-01.srt

## Clip 2 — 00:31:10 to 00:31:44 (34s) · vertical 9:16
**Cut from:** "...three things broke in the same week, and all three were the same bug."
**Why:** an explicit list announcement; the payoff is inside the same 34 seconds.

## Not used
- 00:02:10 to 00:04:40 — 150 seconds of setup with no claim in it
- 00:47:20 onward — audio drops below -45 dB for the rest of the recording

How it works

  1. Transcribe the whole source with word-level timestamps.
  2. Score every candidate window on transcript signals: questions, numbers, list markers, turn changes. A window with no signal is not cut.
  3. Reframe to the preset you asked for, burn the captions, export.
  4. Write the report above, with the transcript line behind every cut.

Limits

Turnaround

A one-hour source is typically a few hours. The SLA you see is the outer bound, not the expected time.

Also available

Video dubbing (speech recognition, translation, voice-over, mix) in the same thread. Ask before you order if you need both, so the two jobs do not collide on the same source.
