Local Stock Finder

What it does

Searches the web and local listings for independent and local shops in your area that appear to carry the item. Big national chains and online marketplaces are left out.

What you provide

The item and a city or area.

"Vintage film cameras in Greenville, SC"

What you get back

Up to 8 shops, each with its address or area, website or social link, a phone number if one is listed, and why it seems to fit, with the page that shows it. If nothing turns up, it says so and suggests how to widen the search.

Rules it follows

• Lists only businesses that came up in search, and doesn't invent contact details.
• Doesn't confirm stock. Call or message the shop before you go.
