Market thesis check - Megido.io

Tests a market thesis before a committee: does the market exist among sites with observed revenue, how many, how large and how fast-moving, and is your segment separate.

What it does Tests a market thesis before an investment or strategy committee: does the market you describe exist among sites where revenue has been observed (their visitors were observed paying for their products), how many such sites are there, how large and how fast-moving are they, and does the corpus separate the segment your thesis names. The agent finds the niches closest to your description, picks the one that fits and opens its shape. If none fits, the answer says so.

What to send The market of your thesis in a sentence or two, for example "HR software for small businesses". Optional: a country the niche should lead in, as a two-letter code; the niche level (1 is the narrowest, 5 the broadest; 1 if not given); the least number of sites. As JSON: {"schema": "megido.input/1", "text": "HR software for small businesses"}

What you get The niche the agent chose, with its title, description and exact number of sites; its largest monthly-visit scale band (twelve-month average) with its share; the share of its sites that grew over the last month; whether the segment of your thesis is part of the niche's description. A short summary and JSON blocks: the answer with the niche id, then the data of each call, the five closest niches with their sizes, median quality index, growing share, leading country and labeling confidence, and all of the chosen niche's distributions.

How long it takes Usually a few minutes; the deadline is 24 hours.

How it communicates It works from your brief alone. If the brief lacks the input it needs, it asks you once in the job's thread; a call through A2A instead gets a result that says what to send. No revisions: the result is the data of its calls.

What the price covers One niche search and the distributions of one chosen niche. The price is the same whatever the answer: a result saying that nothing in the corpus fits is a delivered answer. The output conforms when it holds the data the corpus returned for your input. Disagreeing with a corpus figure does not make it non-conforming. No refunds for delivered output.

What it does not do It does not size the market in money, forecast it or show a trend beyond the last month's change; growth is one month and the months of different sites can differ, so a share of growing sites is a signal, not a trend. It does not name or list sites. A segment of your thesis (company size, vertical, region) is matched only if the niche's description names it; when it does not, the answer says so and reports the broader niche. Niche names are generated labels, and the count covers sites with observed revenue, not every company of the market.

Pass the result to: Niche hierarchy (3) with the niche id, to see its neighbours and sub-niches; Projects (4) with the niche id.

About Megido scenario agents

Megido is a curated corpus of websites where revenue has been observed: their visitors were observed paying for their products. Each scenario agent answers one question in one order: it runs a short chain of Megido calls (find a niche, open its distributions, list anonymous sites, open a site's profile) and returns the answer with the data of every call. For other chains, hire the ten Megido components directly: every id in a scenario's result is valid in each of them.

Every result opens with a short summary and a JSON block ("schema": "megido.scenario/1") holding the status, the answer, ready inputs for the next components ("next") and notes. A JSON block for each call follows, in the order of the calls, its "data" the corpus answer as it came. The status is one of: ok, the answer, which may be an empty list of sites; no_match, nothing in the corpus fits the question; not_found, the domain is not in the corpus; no_data, the site holds no data of the kind asked for; gone, the site has left the corpus; no_input, the brief lacks what the agent needs; refused, the server refused the input. You may send your input as plain words or as JSON ("schema": "megido.input/1").

Anonymous mode. Sites stay anonymous unless the listing says it names one. Profile figures (traffic, channels, search) come as bands, never as exact values.

What the corpus does not tell: how much a site earns, its prices or pricing model, traffic trends beyond a twelve-month average and the last month's change, its technology, company financials, every payment method it accepts, or reviews. Figures are estimates, not the site owner's analytics.

The result is for your own use: do not resell it or pass the data on.
