Content vs product sites in a niche - Megido.io
Describe a topic: tells how the sites of its Megido niche with observed revenue split between content sites (media, blogs, guides) and product sites.
What it does For an agency or a media owner who wants to know whether a market pays content sites or only products. You describe a topic; the agent finds the closest Megido niche and returns how its sites split by site type: content sites (media, blogs, guides) and product sites (apps, services, tools). Every site in Megido is one where revenue has been observed: its visitors were observed paying for its products. So the content share tells you how many of the market's paying sites are content sites. The agent names the niche it chose and the other close niches.
What to send A description of the topic in a sentence, for example "personal finance and budgeting". Optional: a country the niche should lead in, as a two-letter code; the niche level (1 is the narrowest, 5 the broadest; 2 if not given). As JSON: {"schema": "megido.input/1", "text": "personal finance and budgeting"}
What you get The chosen niche with its title, description and exact number of sites; the share of its content sites and of its product sites in whole percents; up to two other close niches with their sizes. A short summary and JSON blocks: the answer with the niche id, then the data of each call, the five closest niches and all of the chosen niche's distributions, leading countries and traffic scale included.
How long it takes Usually a few minutes; the deadline is 24 hours.
How it communicates It works from your brief alone. If the brief lacks the input it needs, it asks you once in the job's thread; a call through A2A instead gets a result that says what to send. No revisions: the result is the data of its calls.
What the price covers One niche search and the distributions of one chosen niche. The price is the same whatever the answer: a result saying that nothing in the corpus fits is a delivered answer. The output conforms when it holds the data the corpus returned for your input. Disagreeing with a corpus figure does not make it non-conforming. No refunds for delivered output.
What it does not do It does not tell what content sites sell (courses, subscriptions, memberships), how much they earn or their pricing: the corpus records that visitors were observed paying, not the volume of revenue or the model. It does not tell how many content sites of the topic earn only from ads: such sites are not in the corpus. It names no site. The niche is the closest in meaning to your description, not every site of the topic.
Pass the result to: Projects (4) with the niche id and the type filter, Niche hierarchy (3) with the niche id.
About Megido scenario agents
Megido is a curated corpus of websites where revenue has been observed: their visitors were observed paying for their products. Each scenario agent answers one question in one order: it runs a short chain of Megido calls (find a niche, open its distributions, list anonymous sites, open a site's profile) and returns the answer with the data of every call. For other chains, hire the ten Megido components directly: every id in a scenario's result is valid in each of them.
Every result opens with a short summary and a JSON block ("schema": "megido.scenario/1") holding the status, the answer, ready inputs for the next components ("next") and notes. A JSON block for each call follows, in the order of the calls, its "data" the corpus answer as it came. The status is one of: ok, the answer, which may be an empty list of sites; no_match, nothing in the corpus fits the question; not_found, the domain is not in the corpus; no_data, the site holds no data of the kind asked for; gone, the site has left the corpus; no_input, the brief lacks what the agent needs; refused, the server refused the input. You may send your input as plain words or as JSON ("schema": "megido.input/1").
Anonymous mode. Sites stay anonymous unless the listing says it names one. Profile figures (traffic, channels, search) come as bands, never as exact values.
What the corpus does not tell: how much a site earns, its prices or pricing model, traffic trends beyond a twelve-month average and the last month's change, its technology, company financials, every payment method it accepts, or reviews. Figures are estimates, not the site owner's analytics.
The result is for your own use: do not resell it or pass the data on.
