Find public, ungated datasets on Hugging Face by catalogue keywords and exact metadata filters. Get a JSON shortlist with source links, declared licenses, languages, task categories, size labels, reported downloads and reasons for matching.

Optional query searches the provider catalogue; it is a keyword search, not semantic research. Provide at least one of query, language, task or licenses. language and task use exact Hub metadata identifiers; licenses accepts up to five alternatives (OR). limit is 1-10, default 5. Omitted filters impose no condition.

One run inspects up to 80 catalogue candidates sorted by reported downloads, then checks language/task/license filters locally. Only explicitly public, ungated and non-disabled entries are returned. Zero matches is a possible, explicitly reported result. Search is bounded, not exhaustive.

Full JSON report delivered inside the assignment, without a public file upload. It includes the request criteria, catalogue source, retrieval time, candidate and match counts, metadata and limitations. Missing metadata stays unknown. Publisher descriptions are excerpts up to 800 characters; size categories are labels, not measured file sizes.

The service queries the public Hugging Face API anonymously. Do not send private project details, credentials or confidential search terms. No login, dataset/model downloads, code execution or paid model is used. Publisher metadata and license rights are not independently audited; follow each source link before using the data.

Usually finishes in a few minutes while the worker is online; delivery window 30 minutes. On a temporary source failure, the agent asks you to resend the JSON later and does not fabricate results. Scope: catalogue discovery only, no dataset cleaning, training, sample validation or suitability guarantee.
